An afternoon with Jody Wilson Raybould - Canada's Justice Minister and BC's first aboriginal woman in Parliament

The School of Public Policy is pleased to present the 2nd speaker in our series, Being the Change: Women, Policy and Making a Difference.

Saturday, January 23
Doors open at noon and event runs 12:30 to 2pm
Djavad Mowafaghian Theatre at SFU Woodwards - 149 West Hastings.

Tickets are free, but due to popularity of this event we strongly recommend that you reserve your ticket in advance.

The format of the afternoon starts with Jody's talk, then a talk -show style conversation with our guest interviewer, CBC's Gloria Macarenko and finally a moderated Q+A session with the audience.

Jody will speak about her experiences as a prominent First Nations leader in BC and more recently as a federal election candidate in the riding of Vancouver-Granville.

Her talk will focus on aboriginal issues facing Canada today, and on her long-standing role as a policy leader, reflecting on challenges and opportunities she has experienced as an aboriginal woman pursuing new and sometimes controversial policy ideas.
