Each year, the Equity and Human Rights Office recognizes the National Day of Remembrance. This year, it will be recognized on Wednesday, December 4th:
Classes and exams will be cancelled for one hour to allow campus community members to remember victims of violence, reflect on our responsibility to treat each other as equal human beings, and to celebrate our ability to create a just and compassionate world.
The event will take place in the Michele Pujol Room on Dec. 4th (classes are deferred from 11:30-12:30).

The Victoria Regional Women’s Committee of the BC Public Service Alliance of Canada cordially invite CUPE Local 951 members to attend a candle light vigil on December 6th, 2013 at Centennial Square City Hall on December 6th, 2013 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm to help commemorate the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
Donations of socks, towels, toiletries, journals and small household appliances are also sought to be distributed to various women’s organizations.
