Up For Debate:
The Alliance for Women's Rights
a Citizen Forum on Women's Rights
11:30am to 3:30pm
Saturday, April 11, 2015
Up For Debate is an alliance of over 160 organizations across the country representing more than 5 million Canadians. We want to see party leaders explain how they plan to build a more equal Canada for us all, and make meaningful commitments to change women's lives for the better, at home and around the world. This must start with a nationally broadcast leaders' debate on issues identified by women.
This interactive event will feature Aboriginal leader Fay Blaney, Marjorie Griffin Cohen, Professor of Economics at SFU, and Janet Austin, Executive Director at YWCA. This an opportunity to learn more about the key issues faced by women and girls in Canada today, contribute to identifying solutions, and connect with others.
Child minding / Information tables / Light snacks will be provided
All are welcome!
