Classes will be offered in three phases and all women ages 14 and older are encouraged to attend regardless of experience level.
Classes include:
- Phase 1, Technique to Target: Teaches target area strikes, kicks, blocks and break-away techniques to specific lethal target area with a hands on practice; classes offered June 3, July 1 and Aug. 5.
- Phase 2, The Mind Set: Explains the state of mind and teaches skills on how to be a survivor of an attack; learn how to control emotions during a time of stress and hone skills from the previous course while learning to stay in control of mind and body; classes are June 10, July 8 and Aug. 12.
- Phase 3, What If: Deals with scenarios of an attack, covers areas of safety and awareness while dealing with the progression of different situational confrontations; uses ideas and techniques from the previous courses to aid in escaping many different attack situations; classes are June 17, July 15 and Aug. 19.
Classes will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day for all three phases.
Cost is $25 for members and $40 for nonmembers for three classes; the cost to attend one class is $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
