Walking for Rehtaeh

April 5, 2014

Near the eve of the one-year anniversary of her death at age 17, Rehtaeh Parsons was remembered Saturday at a march in Cole Harbour.

A crowd of family members, neighbours, friends and others assembled outside Cole Harbour Place before walking slowly along Forest Hills Parkway and into Dartmouth in honour of the late high school student.

The line of people stretched down a roadside sidewalk and was escorted by police along the route. At least 100 men, women and children took part in the chilly, rainy march, called Rae’s Awareness for People Everywhere walk.
