If this applies to you, please describe your involvement in women's memorial making/violence prevention?
I am currently coordinating a Status of Women Canada-funded project at the Antigonish Women's Resource Centre & Sexual Assault Services Association entitled "Resisting Violence: Rural Women and Girls Take Action. The goal of the project is to work with youth to develop community-based strategies for resisting violence against women and girls.
If this applies to you, what is the name of your group or project or memorial? (Or is it now ROSE?)
Antigonish Women's Resource Centre & Sexual Assault Services Association
If applicable, how long have you been involved in women's memorial making/violence prevention?
I have been involved in the local feminist community for the past five years.
What changes for women would you like to see happen?
Violence against women and girls must end. We must work toward a world in which women and girls are honoured and valued for the beautiful, strong human beings they are. We must end sexism, racism, classism, ableism, colonialism, ageism, homophobia, and all other forms of oppression that harm the lives of women and girls and limit the realization of their full human potential.
