Profile Information

If this applies to you, please describe your involvement in women's memorial making/violence prevention?
I am an interdisciplinary artist working in relational, durational, interventionist and community-based practices. My work is about taking individual responsibility for social change. Since 2006, I’ve performed as LADY JUSTICE creating public and private ritual-based performances at cites/sites of justice and injustice in Montreal, Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, and virtual worlds. Through Lady J, I explore sex/representation, transgressed body, public/private obsession with celebrity, symbols/symbolism, fata morgana, and notions of vengeance/bearing witness.
If this applies to you, what is the name of your group or project or memorial? (Or is it now ROSE?)
Friends of Lady Justice
If applicable, how long have you been involved in women's memorial making/violence prevention?
since 1976
What changes for women would you like to see happen?
I would like world leaders to read any one of Stephen Lewis's speeches and take immediate action to empower women everywhere.
