If this applies to you, please describe your involvement in women's memorial making/violence prevention?
I am just learning to honor the Indigenous Women in my family and around the world.
If this applies to you, what is the name of your group or project or memorial? (Or is it now ROSE?)
Friends of Lenape Everywhere
If applicable, how long have you been involved in women's memorial making/violence prevention?
I have only raised awareness through social media so far, but am studying so I can learn to facilitate honor for all women through social change and policy change, especially our Indigenous Women.
What changes for women would you like to see happen?
Our Women need many services in order to heal from prejudice and many opportunities to learn to relate as "equals" as the white governments call it, but I also believe we need to see that Women are NOT equal from Indigenous Perspective: We are the Life Givers. We are the Culture. We are the Center. Matriarchal systems will be restored, not as an answer to patriarchy, but in an Ancient, Earth Centered way I do not know how to describe. I hope I will learn from many in this movement. Xeli Wanishi ok Onkuntuwakan (many thanks and blessings in Lenape Unami) ~ Achimwi Ankutuwakan or RuthAnn (Lenape or Hebrew for Story Blessing)
